The presentation will feature famous trout streams in the
“lower 48” including fly fishing for trout and grayling in the
Ruby River and a surprise location in Yellowstone Park.

January 9th Meeting The January meeting date changed from Jan. 2 to Jan. 9 due to the holiday. Location is changed from Naug. Savings & Loan to Stop & Shop Community Room on Straits Turnpike in Watertown. Guest speaker will be Derrick Kirkpatrick of the Cabela’s East Hartford store. His presentation will be about ice fishing. Meeting will begin at 7:00 pm. The public is invited free of charge.

Fly Tying Lessons & Demonstrations will be held on Tuesdays Jan. 15, 22 & 29 in the Community Room of the Southbury Stop & Shop in Southbury and on Wednesdays Feb. 13, 20 and 27 in the Watertown Stop & Shop Community Room on Straits Turnpike. February 6th Meeting

Pomperaug Coalition Director to Speak.
Ed Edelson will be the guest speaker at the February 6 meeting of the Trout Unlimited Naugatuck-Pomperaug Chapter. Edelson is the Executive Director of the Pomperaug Watershed Coalition. The main topic will be the Pomperaug Plantation Project. There will be a question and answer period.

The February 6 meeting will be held at the Naugatuck Savings & Loan in Naugatuck. Meeting starts at 7:00 pm. The public is invited free of charge.

February 9th Northwest Chapter TU Banquet Northwest Chapter TU Banquet---The Northwest Chapter will be holding a Game dinner instead of their annual fund raiser banquet. Several of their members attend our banquets and support us in our fund raising events including our annual trip to the Connetquot. Their game dinner will beheld on February 9th at the Torrington Elks Lodge and the cost is $35.00 per person. Let’s enjoy the various”game” and help support their chapter.
March 5th Meeting The speaker for the Wednesday March 5, 2008 Naugatuck-Pomperaug Trout Unlimited Chapter meeting will be Frank Schilvgen. The topic will be fly-casting. Schilvgen is an expert fly caster and will discuss the various types of casts and when to use them. There will be a question and answer segment of the presentation.

The meeting will begin at 7:00 pm in the Community Room of the Naugatuck Savings & Loan Association located on Church Street in Naugatuck The public isinvited free of charge.

April 2nd Meeting

The April 2 Speaker will be Tim Barry DEP Fisheries Biologist. Topics include 2008 stocking programs of trout, walleye and pike and Marine Fishing Licenses.

More than 100 enjoyed the day at Newtown Bait
& Tackle, RT. 25 Newtown. The weather was beautiful,
casting lessons were done by experts and food was
delicious. Many of the attendees tried new rods that
were available from manufacture representatives.
The Naugatuck-Pomperaug Trout Unlimited Chapter and
