Youth Trout Fishing Derby@
Bennett Town Park, Bethel
All kids including handicapped children are welcome to attend
with their mom, dad or guardian. Moms and Dads will act as team captain
to help rig and cast fishing lines. The derby is free to all kids and
their family including refreshments. Note: Moms and Dads are welcomed
to fish after the derby is over at 11:00AM. Club members will be on hand
to help anyone with rigging fishing lines and casting. Remember safety
first when casting!
Where: Bennett Memorial Town Park
Located @ 14 Shelter Rock Road, Bethel, CT
Directions:
(If you are heading east bound on I-84) Use exit 8 off of I-84 and continue
through the exit traffic light for approximately 2 blocks. Turn right
off of Danbury/Newtown Rd. onto Payne Rd. Continue straight until Payne
Rd turns into Shelter Rock Rd. ( which is approximately. 1.5 miles) Bennett
Town Park will be the 2nd entrance on the right down a hill. Parking is
on the right.
(If you are heading west bound on I-84) Use exit 8 off I-84 and do a complete
loop around as if you were getting back on I-84. then continue past the
I-84 entrance and make a right turn onto Payne Rd. as above.
Note: Payne Rd. is the next right turn after you pass a Shell service

When: Saturday April 26th, 2008 - Sign in time - 8AM to 9AM
Lines will be wet @ 9:00AM sharp & ends @ 11:00AM
Awards will be presented
Cost: Free - Donations will be accepted
Participating young anglers will receive trophies, sport equipment, fishing
gear
and other prizes for the largest brook or rainbow taken.
There will be 3 age groups: 2 thru 6, 7 thru 11, and 12 thru 16.
Prizes will be a warded in each group
Refreshments will be available - FREE
